BLESSED PHILIPIANS

  • by

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy. Philip 1:3-4

Every day in our life we meet different people. Among them are friends; there are strangers; we are waiting for some meetings, and some we meet by chance; with some people we meet very often, but with some maybe once in a lifetime. Each meeting leaves a trace in our heart and in the heart of that other person. After some meetings, our mood rises, but there are meetings with people about whom we do not even want to remember.

What special things did the Philippians do for the Apostle Paul, that every time he remembered them, his heart filled with joy? What a wonderful example the Philippians have left for us. (Read the letter of Philippians today) What kind of heart do people with whom we meet every day remember about us? At work, at home, on the vacation, in the store, at the gas station, on an airplane chair, or a bus? Do they want to thank God remembering our meeting with them? Or maybe completely different feelings fill their hearts? Scripture tells us that we Christians are the living letter of Christ, but what our letter say? How many people on earth who thank God, because they met us even once?

We are citizens of the kingdom of heaven, which is “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men” Romans14:17-18. It turns out that we can serve Christ not only by attending church on Sundays, but spilling around us with righteousness, peace and joy. Such meetings remain in the hearts of people for a long time and continue their work even when we are no longer around: – with every remembrance.

Word to Russia heartily thanks God for you, remembering your faithfulness and support of our service to Christ through the gospel. The news of the coming Kingdom of Heaven, thanks to your participation, flies around the world through a radio ministry.

May God bless you abundantly in this New Year and the fragrance of Christ be in every place you go, and may He preserve you and your loved ones for His Kingdom, In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
