The “Word to Russia” Mission congratulates all current and future mothers on your “professional holiday,” – Mother’s Day! This is a special holiday for all mothers on earth, because it is to our dear moms that we owe our coming into this world.
Our life is a reflection of our actions. If you want more love and peace, give more love to those around you. If you wish to be happy, try to make happy those who live near and around you. If you want to see heartfelt smiles, smile sincerely at those you know. This applies to all aspects of life: it returns to us everything that we give to it. Therefore, our true legacy is not what we left in our will, but what we manage to invest in our children.
A mother is a wall of love and a chain reaction of kindness. Children’s pranks, misdeeds, disappointments—all of this reaches the mother, but is not reflected in her as new negativity and fades away in her love. Kind words of love or sincere praise fill children’s hearts with hormones of joy. A desire appears to repay it—to say something kind to another person. This is how a chain reaction of goodness is born.
In this regard, the role of the mother, who communicates with children more than anyone else, is hard to overestimate. After all, the most beautiful newborn child is not a tiny innocent creature, but a little sinner. All the seeds of deceit, quick temper, self-will, stubbornness, selfishness, and so on are already within him, and if they are not restrained, these vices will grow quickly like weeds in a garden.
Therefore, by becoming mothers you are doing a great, noble, and holy work by giving your love to children in order to raise and nurture a good person devoted to God.
Our deepest bow to you, our dear mothers and grandmothers. Great is your reward in Heaven. With your love, wisdom, and prudence, you are shaping the future in your children and grandchildren. May every minute of your life be filled with love and joy! May your mother’s heart never know sorrow. May your children bring you joy with their successes and care! We wish you goodness, happiness, blessings from above, and joyful motherhood!
“We always thank God for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ before our God and Father.” 1 Thess. 1:2–3. “For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the labor of love that you have shown in His name, having ministered and continuing to minister to the saints.” Heb. 6:10.
Mothers, do not lose heart, but always remember that when the Lord God was creating the Plan of Salvation even before the creation of the world, He had in mind the salvation of both you and your children.
