AI – THE TROJAN HORSE OF MUSIC

MUSIC AND TECHNOLOGY

Synthetic Artificial Intelligence (AI) music – can it affect the mental and physical health of
the younger generation? What happens when this kind of music fills our inner world? Is it
worth sounding the alarm?

The topic of AI, which we are starting our conversation about, has already been discussed a
lot. Today we propose to look at it from another angle: – Music and Technology. Is it as simple
as it sometimes seems to us? After all, Music is a special world of sounds that our Creator gave
humanity. What is happening with Music today in the light of modern technology?

21st century America is an explosion of computer technology that fills all areas of our lives.
The speed with which they conquer the world is amazing. Over the past few decades, the
world and new technological opportunities have progressed so far that many scientists,
sociologists and pastors today express their concern about the future of humanity. Where will
the total digitalization of the planet lead humanity?

Today, AI composes music, paints paintings, writes dissertations for scientists and does home-
work for students; more and more people are losing their jobs because companies are intro-
ducing new AI technologies. There is a panic among actors in Hollywood: AI created an actress,
Tilly Norwood, in which intonations and facial expressions taken from the analysis of the per-
formance of several hundred actresses. Tilly Norwood received the most commendable re-
views from viewers who did not understand that a synthetic actress created by neural net-
works of new technologies was on the screen.

Students no longer have to sit in laboratories and libraries to do their homework; they don’t
have to spend years of their lives learning to play musical instruments; they don’t have to use
all their intelligence to write a thesis, etc. It is enough to send a request to Google, ChatGPT,
Wikipedia and everything you need will be in front of your eyes in a few seconds.

Today, technology saves a person from having to study playing musical instruments for years,
practice voice production, comprehend musical literacy, etc. Thanks to Artificial Intelligence
(AI), you can release your musical album overnight, create several song versions, order and
compose music of various genres, etc.

We are talking about how this can affect the formation of a person’s way of thinking and, as a
result, the future behavior of our younger generation. What kind of music educates our child-
ren today at school, at home, and at meetings with friends? We have scientifically proven facts
that “music is not only an aesthetic pleasure, but also a powerful energetic effect on a per-
son and his psyche.”

What emotions and images appear in people’s hearts when they listen to music made by AI?
The desire to do well, to have compassion and enjoy life, or anger and the feeling that
someone is guilty of something that is not working out in your life. Does such music encourage
a desire to fix something, cheer up, start all over again, or bitter envy and a desire to take
revenge on others for your failures? Does this have anything to do with tragedies in Schools
and Colleges when children kill their peers? Just like that, not for any wrongdoing. When
people get killed just because someone has a point of view that doesn’t match your beliefs.
Unfortunately, for many schools today, the State is cutting funding for music classes, while on
the other hand; soulless computer music created by Artificial Intelligence is growing in society.
The sad truth is that if everyday music ceases to be a compulsory subject in Schools and
Colleges, it significantly impoverishes the process of forming a harmonious way of thinking in
children, and this place is filled by a computer substitute for AI music. This is a real blow to the
mentality of our younger generation.

In the next chapter we will look at how music, bypassing consciousness, enters the inner world of a person through a Green Corridor and affects our subconscious. You will not only broaden your horizons, but you also become more familiar with the world of sounds, of which Music is the queen.
